My most favorite foul mouthed rapping, singing, all around talented local trio is Menya. I've gone on and on about their popaliciously grungey hip-hop swagger and tight dynamic, and the kids are back, making new music and continuing to impress.

Menya are doing a whole bunch of new postings on their 'Space in the next 2 weeks in preparation for their mixtape, The Sleepover Series Volume 1, due out October 2nd.

This Wednesday, they'll post a flip of Kelly Clarkson's I Do Not Hook Up, titled (So What) I Hook Up. Friday welcomes a 3oh3 response song called Ho's Revenge.

But Monday, oh yes today, greets us with Menya's version of Vanessa Carlton's White Houses. Good Goose, the lad normally behind the table, jumps in front of the mic and sings lead for the first time ever. Radical! Check out the video for the cover below, and obviously, we've got that mondo ace mp3 for you as well.

Also, Menya will be at Bowery Poetry Club on September 6th for a show/tribute to late 90s dance parties. (so all DMX, Limp Bizkit, Britney, etc. between bands, and late 90s dress up songs apply!)
