In preparation for her debut album's release, Jessie James hooked up with Giant Step and Steve Madden Music for an intimate perfomance at the shoemaker's store on Rivington Street in NYC.
Playing to a crowded room of sweaty NYCers, James wowed with a 6 song set that ranged from classic country vibes to uptempo acoustic tracks with a hip-hop undertone, the last of which is currently a top 20 single.

Set List:
Blue Jeans
I Look So Good (Without You)
Guilty
Burning Bridges
Wanted
Jessie James' self-titled debut album is available now via Mercury Records.
mp3: Jessie James - Wanted (Wideboys Remix)
Jessie James is a big talent in a petite, power-packed package who has been ready for her close-up since she was a young "military brat". And if you love your country music with spice and sass and a bit of a bouncy hip-hop vibe, then look no further.
This Thursday, August 6, Steve Madden and Giant Step present an intimate performance by Jessie James plus DJ Lilypad.
Steven by Steve Madden
100 Rivington St & Ludlow
New York, NY 10002
RSVP IS A MUST. Do so here.
Fingers crossed she plays Blue Jeans, a nontraditionally swaggered out country hit with it's tribal percussion and struts of sexuality. James' debut self-titled album, is out August 11th via Mercury.

Wanted to briefly comment on the events of last evening. (You can catch a glimpse of Sheena Beaston in the above pic, and that's all the more you get.)
Went with my brother and a friend to a book reading/signing featuring the deliciously punny Will Leitch of Deadspin and his new book, "God Save the Fan."
Details lack on this site, but you can read all about it here.
To cap off the evening, we ventured over to a bar called The Patriot. Seriously, its in a suck part of town. Chambers Street overlooking the WTC site. It's so desolate down there, but the $6 pitchers of PBR more than made up for it.
So sports, drinking, and where does the music come in?
Upon entering said establishment, we were blasted with a fiery wave of heated nasty. Literally. It was easily 95 degrees in there. And I'm a sweater. Thank god for wearing black to work yesterday.
So the tunes.
One of the 3 Josh's I met last night claimed he had no control over what came on the jukebox when he randomly put money in it. I beg to differ.
"......ooooooh, I'm here for the PARTAY!"
(Gretchen Wilson get down with your bad self)
Next.
Johhny Cash song #1.
Johhny Cash song #2.
Johnny Cash song #3.
I could deal with that.
Next.
"YOOOOOOUUUUUU never even call my by name!!!"
(David Allen Coe as performed by a brother after said pitchers of PBR)
Throw in a sprinkling of Shania Twain, Garth Brooks, Toby Keith, etc.....and we called it a night.
