Diplo was everywhere in 2009, whether it was standing beside Switch as Major Lazer or destroying dancefloors with his DJing and solo productions. It's only fitting that world's biggest dance music magazine, Mixmag, should enlist him to put together their end of year cover CD: 2009 Rewind.

And what a magnificent rewind it is. Diplo cuts, scratches and mixes his way through last year’s anthems from noted notables like Prodigy (Invaders Must Die), Chase and Status (Eastern Jam) and Major Lazer (Pon De Floor). It's an absolute classic which begs the question...how the hell can we top 2009?

We've got a three-track sampler to get the love fest flowing. Tracks are as follows.

1. Major Lazer (featuring VYBZ Kartel & Afrojack) - Pon De Floor
2. Amanda Blank - Something Bigger, Something Better
3. L-VIS 1990 - United Groove (MJ Cole mix)

Is it just me, or did Diplo create the mix solely for this beast? Three of my favorite tracks...and I can't wait to hear the rest of the album!

Go to Amazon to listen to :30 second samples of every track off of Simba Spears upcoming album Circus.

And then, you know, pre-order it. Cause it isn't already like number 2 on the charts or something stupid already.

Damn if I don't love it. I wanna barricade myself with a chair and then stick my head in her mouth.

Thanks to Time Warner Cable for coming early and getting our internet hooked up earlier than scheduled. Aaaaannndd...for sending over a completely delicious man to hook it up. Mama like!

Moving on...

Bella, from Sheena Beaston favorites, The Fire and Reason, hit us up with a new album sampler. And it's free! We love it and want you to cherish and dance to it as much as we've been.

Bella writes: This is a NEW TFaR Sampler that we are going to be ciruclating that features, NEW SONGS, SIDE and SOLO PROJECTS all from the TFaR CAMP.

We're super psyched with the end result!

Track list:
1. Do It Again (The Fire and Reason)
2. Crawl (Bella Saona)
3. Sugar Koma (The Fire and Reason)
4. NME (The Fire and Reason)
5. Mi Corazon (The Fire and Reason)
6. Preste Atenção (Força Do Futuro)

Snag the album here, or sample a hot track below.

Pop album of the year?

Maybe quite possibly definitely so. (at least according to a comment in Rolling Stone)

As expected, the album has an overall hip-hop feel, while remaining a pop/dance record.

I do know that I want to hear more of the track She's Not Me. In the sampler, you can hear the lyric "...and love you in the shower...the flavor of the moment, cause she don't have what's ours..." I'm pretty psyched about that sequence.

You can hear :30 seconds of each track below.
