If you've never been to a Menya show, here's what you can expect.

Leaving the venue looking like you've wet yourself.*

Which is what happened when I exited said show this past Friday. Menya's shows are power packed and full of energy the entire set through. If you're not drenched in perspiration, as was I, by then end of the first song, then you have no soul / rhythm and I feel sorry for you.

The Menya gang are young but extremely talented beyond their years. With Coco Dame's vivacious flow paired with Angie Ripe's smoooth vocals, Good Goose provides the beats that make us move. It's a perfect mix of filthy fabulous glammed out electro hip-hop. Playing all the crowd / fan favorites, Menya also dropped a new track on us. Hook, Line and Sinker was immediately well received by the audience, myself included.

Menya has shows in NYC, Brooklyn and Philly in the next few months. Hit up their MySpace for more. They've been featured on MSN Music and they'll appear in this week's Blender. Menya is quickly on the fast track to major notoriety.

*And apparently only 1 picture...whoops. Too much dancing and not enough photo snapping.
