Today marks the birth of my brother, Nick. He of the famed and notorious web site, Pittsburgh Sports and Mini Ponies (PSaMP). Born prematurely, all throughout childhood, it seemed he was always prone to a special pampering due to said circumstance. "Be careful...Nick was a preemie...", said while he was well past harm's way. Like as in last year I can almost assure it was used. You can stop milking it now. You're 24.

You can jump over to One for the Other Thumb to see a special "sports related roasting" of sorts, including one from yours truly where we wax poetic about Merrill Hedge. (If you know Pittsburgh sports, that is not a typo...read the roast for more info.)

In all seriousness though, as it's become tradition to do, we celebrate birth's here with nothing more than the gift of song. So let's roll let's stroll.

mp3: Andrew WK - Never Let Down
I know how much you love this man, what with his dirty white tee and jeans. I'm pretty sure you'd go on man-dates with him. What I do know for definite though is that briefly after you moved here for the first time during your internship, Kate, you and I got a little nutty one night and it ended up with you headbanging in the kitchen to this epic of all epic songs. To which you woke up the next morning with a stiff neck/whiplash. What a twerp.

mp3: Bone Thugs N Harmony & Phil Collins - Home
I can think of no other song that you love more than this one. Or at least one that you know every word to better than the actual artists performing the song. Great track though, so props to you, I guess.

mp3: Usher - My Way
5 words. Instrumental track on CD single. You would murder out the lyrics to this about 20 times a day. I have nothing more to say about that. Everyone is already starting to get a picture of your utter, um, "uniqueness".

mp3: Brick Bath - Whiskey Binge
Not only did we cop this inherently excellent band name for our Rock Band duo, but the song title is so fitting. Seeing as how right after your 21st birthday, you came here and hung out with Powers. And the toilet. For a long time.

BONUS! Even more Nick weirdness as evidenced by this image.

mp3: Coolio - Gangsta's Paradise
The best thing that came out of this past weekend's mass cleaning was unearthing this treasure. See, we own a desk that we used to write in/on. And Nick's main glorious contribution was as is above. A set of lyrics from Coolio's Gangsta's Paradise.

"or you and your homies might be lined in chalk" - Nick

HAPPY BIRTHDAY NICK. LOVE YOU!
