First and foremost, underpants is a funny word. Second and (I don't know if there's a word to complete that), Tenacious D is funny. And much better musicians than they are given credit for.

And speaking of credit, I'm probably losing all or any shred of cred I had by glorifying this song.


The self-titled 2001 debut album by the tubbily talented duo cemented by appreciation for Tenacious D. With a mix of comedy, snarky lyrics, way above average musical abilities, and the voices of angels, JB and KG compiled a feverish list of 21 faceshredders and humorous interludes.

It's tough to pick just one favorite from the certified platinum album, but this is the one I've been getting down to most lately.
