Everyone Booed Arcade Fire, and That was Worth the Trip Alone
Once again...many many thanks to Ehren who passed along 2 tickets to the PLUG Awards last night.
It was right after attempting to take a shot of Dizzee Rascal on stage, that my intense photojournalistic skills came out. Only the complete opposite. My camera died.
So here's what you're missing (until my cohort comes into work and lets me steal her pictures from her camera...which I'll subsequently post on later.)
1. Dizzee Rascal performing
2. Patton Oswalt hosting
3. People booing when Arcade Fire: Neon Bible won Album of the Year
4. Jose Gonzalez performing
5. Justice accepting New Artist of the Year via satellite
6. Nick Cave accepting the Impact Award
So after all that awesomeness occurred, my camera decided to quit being a baby and let me take 2 shots every 12 minutes. Thank god it was during Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds performance...which completely killed. And when I say killed, I mean that as a positive. As in, "putting on a killer performance." Oh screw it...they rocked, shut your mouth, and just look at the pretty pictures.
