One of the most heart racingly cool albums of the year has to be Simian Mobile Disco's Temporary Pleasure. With a mix of electro, dance and world influences, the English production team offer up a comprehensively stylized release.


The admiration I have for the team only gets enhanced by catching their sets live. Luckily, I've been able to be in attendance for two of them in the past few months. Playing a mix of clasics and new material from the latest album, SMD always keep the crowd at high energy.

One notable track, which is a staple of their live show, is a cut not found on the latest disc. If you've seen them live, you'll undoubtedly recognize the major hits and beats of Aspic, a throttling trek of nearly 8 minutes of sweat-inducing radness.
