Anjulie has been hot on the Beaston tip since about this time last year, when an early version of her self-titled album hit the iNet. The sultry songstress of doublebeat jazzpop's debut quickly sparked an interest in both this lowly blogger, as well as internationally critical ears.


This dazzling artist will join soul pioneer, Raphael Saadiq, on his upcoming tour of North America. The crooner actually hit my "best of 2008" list with his album The Way I See It. This pairing is one that is both balanced and unique, placing icons of their respective genres on a 20+ date trek through the States.

Check out the tour dates below the super steamy and leather handcuffed video for Anjulie's new single, Rain. The track is one of my favorite album cuts: a slinky song with emotionally charged lyrics and groovy downtempo beat.
