I love when a random message/track in my inbox immediately catches my attention, so much so, that I feel the need to post it immediately, without knowing much of the backstory of the artist. This is the case today, as we have fallen head over heels in love with We & Lisa.


We & Lisa sprouted out of the friendships of mates on a Swedish soccer team. Vocalist, Petter, met keyboardist Don Rock through the league in 2003, chatted tunes, playing one another their tracks, and impressed each other so much that the two felt they had to form a pop group, which they did. Their team's goalie, Ante, later brought his guitar around, and the band We & Lisa was compiled!

They released their frist EP, C'mon C'mon, back in 2004 to minimal exposure. This year, however, the full We & Lisa album, Dreams Within a Dream, was released on March 31, which consisted of tracks from that first release, as well as another EP, Ana.

You can download all sorts of goodies below, including the most fantastically contstructed track, Independence, which has quickly been placed on repeat all day long so far. Don Roc also remixed that track, along with Ladyhawke's Dusk Till Dawn. All highly recommended!
