If someone had mentioned May 68 to you, your first inclination would be to draw up memories of the French student revolutionaries that challenged and crumbled Charles de Gaulles' governance in 1960's Paris.

Today, however, the month/number holds more weight in the music sense with Manchester's May 68 staging a coup d'etat of their own against anyone unwilling to dance to their blend of discopop/synthrock.

May 68 believes in the power of creativity and imagination, lending their passion to may sleepless nights. (a quality I can totally empathize with!) Their self produced demo is/was a labor of love, born out of excitement from the very first cassette recordings through to the custom made sleeves.

The song, Last Mile, is an upbeat pop/rock joint that pairs catchy guitar riffs with a nonstop beat. Lead singer Jude's "sui generis" vocals bring the track full circle into a compilation of musical talent, ingenuity, and an overall
groovy good time.
