As the title implies, one of my favorite musical duos, Erasure, are gearing up to release TOTAL POP!, a collection of their first 40 hits. The collection will be released on February 23, although you can also purchase the deluxe box set (which includes both TOTAL POP! and POP! The First 20 Hits REMIXED, the latter available on it's own February 9.)

Erasure is one of the most beloved and enduring success stories in modern British pop, writing world-conquering anthems of love, lust and longing since 1985. In over two decades together, Andy Bell and Vince Clarke have sold more than 15 million albums around the globe, proving themselves masters of every kind of song from disco symphonies to unplugged ballads.

The double CD package and download of Total Pop! will be released as a special four-disc deluxe edition which includes Pop! (re-mastered since its original release), Pop2!, a live disc and a DVD featuring classic BBC performances from 1986–2005, ranging from Sometimes on Top of the Pops in 1986 to Ship Of Fools on Wogan to an appearance on Later With Jools Holland.

It's safe to say that Erasure single-handedly persuaded my hearty lust for smart, danceable elctro-pop music. This compilation is a must-own for any fan. And if you were to buy it for me, well, that would just be delightful.

Pre-order TOTAL POP! here.
