Heroes Of The Dancefloor’s Torch is a fusion of big band and swing jazz, mixed with hip hop, R&B and dub influences with deep souldful vocals. All proceeds of Torch, including publishing mechanicals and royalties, will go to two New York charities, Picture the Homeless and Coalition for the Homeless.*

The lead single, Same Scandal, is an infectious dance track with a funky house groove. Lead vocals come from the playful and expressive chops of Mamazu; Gary Alesbrook, the trumpet player touring and recording with Kasabian and the Scissor Sisters; and James Morton, the sax player and keyboard player touring and recording with Pee Wee Ellis from the band of James Brown.

Mixes and remixes have come from top US DJs such as Nick Chacona and Anthony Mansfield as well as top US and UK engineers, including Adam Noble in the Strongroom, Joe Fields and Sam Dillon in Soho studios, Doug McBride in Gravity Studios in Chicago, Grammy Award winning Thom Russo in Los Angeles, and Grammy Award winning Mick Glossop in London.

NOTE: because this album's proceeds go to a stellar cause, we will only host this download through tomrorrow at 5pm. PLEASE GO BUY THE ALBUM HERE.
