If I could tell you about a powerful female fronted band out of the UK that makes no bones about being called "pop" or "radio friendly", with a hidden dark side, I'd have to make note of Slashed Seat Affair.


Slashed Seat Affair features powerful vocals, showers of almighty drumming and riff driven melodies. Their radio friendly sound is based around the potent songwriting partnership of lead vocalist Ellie Mules and bass player/ guitarist Darren Michael. SSA's debut single, Forget You, will be released in February of 2009, followed by the album Noises. Until then, they are gigging all over the UK, with a mini tour lined up for Italy early next year.

So until they come stateside, we can treat you to 2 tracks by the talented outfit. I'd agree that they are definitely ready for radio, in the same breath that I'd say they're unafraid to get in your face and yell at you. It's mondo good.
