Bruce Springsteen to Perform at Super Bowl XLIII Halftime
When this was first mentioned yesterday, I'll admit it. I died a little inside. Sure the Super Bowl is a forum for sports fans who love the "good ol' boys" and the classics, the standards, the relatable front-men. But I was kind of hoping for something out of left field.
This just seemed too predictable.
And then the Sunday Night Football game halftime show started showing clips of Bruce being Bruce. Namely, shredding faces off, dumping water on concert goers, doing a tumble with his axe still strapped to the front of him, and other crazy antics...none of which really involved singing or strumming.
And it made me more excited for the hullabaloo.
Super Bowl XLIII will be held in Tampa, FL on February 1, 2009.
