More importantly, what in the Evita hell is Madonna doing covering my beloved ABBA?
Back during the days when the Material Girl was going from being Frozen to doing a country two-step with a bunch of hottie cowmen, she apparently recorded a cover of ABBA's Like an Angel Passing Through My Room. The track originally appeared on the Swedish foursome's last studio album, The Visitors.
Madonna had planned to release it on her album Ray of Light. We're not saying it's terrible, but we're not singing it's praises either. For good reason, it was left off the album.
And so was the bonus track, Liquid Love, an alternative demo from the album. What in the AshleeSimpsonAvrilLavigne hell is this song? I'd kill for Madonna to get trashy again, but my sister said it's not going to happen. And although my sister has no immediate connection to Momma Madonna, she's the only one soapboxing it for me right now, so I tend to believe her.
