Doe a Deere, a Female Deere...Ray, a Drop of Golden Sun
Yes, I did mean to spell "deer" that way. Why?
Because Doe Deere is creating stank-nasty funky electro-disco music that I just can't seem to quit. Her arrangements are straight out of the 80's, seeing as how, she wanted to create a record that sounded like it was made in 1985. And this is a good thing. Each song feels as though it's comprised of an extreme plethora of pent up energy and disco balls waiting for the lid to be taken off so it can explode. And with a voice that cuts like a knife, you've got a formula for success.
One Touch immediately reminded me of a Roxette track from back in those glorious 80's. This, for me, is a grand compliment! SF Disco has a rumbling gritty bass line underneath pure disco heaven.
