Ladies and gentlemen, don’t forget to put your clocks back. July 1 is the release date of Rewind, the 80’s cover project by Buffetlibre. Buffetlibre is the first Spanish website dedicated to the promotion of pop and electronic music in legal mp3 format. Rewind is a non-commercial project intended as a unique tribute to one of golden ages of music history.


For this journey back in time, Buffetlibre have been joined by 58 of their favourite artists of the moment. Bands such as Dragonette, Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin, Electric Soft Parade, Levy, Saint Bernadette, Hello Tokyo and The Cloud Room, along with producers such as Frankmusik, !Trash Yourself, RAC, Xinobi, and Moulinex have participated in the Rewind project. Each artist in the line up has boarded their very own time machine and covered one of their favourites 80’s anthems.

The first part of the Rewind project, released on Tuesday 1st July, is available for free download in mp3 format on Buffetlibre. Featuring 58 covers and remixes by the first 58 artists, this edition will also be accompanied soon by a new mixtape courtesy of Buffetlibre Dj’s, highlighting the most electronic moments of Rewind. The second and final part is set for release on September 1, 2008.
