I'm not a huge political buff; I know enough to have a more valid than most conversation. But if it were up to me, I'd rather discuss music. Such as...new to the site artist, War Tapes.
Katy, from Sarathan Records, a small indie label from Seattle, hit me up today with an offer to give an ear to this new group whom I had previously known nothing about. Mentioning that they have been described as "Interpol meets AFI with a dose of The Cure", I'd throw in a little bit of The Killers swagger on top of that and stir it all up. War Tapes have toured with The Bravery, Smashing Pumpkins and most recently, Tiger Army.
Sarathan Records has been generous enough to offer their song, Dreaming of You, as a free download. Rock!
Show some love and support by joining them on MySpace, where you can get info on upcoming tour dates, all of which, (unfortunately for us East Coasters) are in the Rockies and further West.

Hey Sheena, I like how you compared War Tapes to The Killers. They are definitely both similar in the post punk alternative genre. Thanks for spreading the word! Anyone who's interested in buying the EP should look here: http://www.amazon.com/War-Tapes/dp/B001DSNGB8/?tag=sr0d-20
