I have to admit, I am a big fan of video games. Maybe it was my growing up with 2 younger brothers who are relatively close in age to me. Maybe it is my penchant for all things technology. (I am a huge technology nut...it really gets my nads pumping. If I had nads.)

For instance, as a young lass, I would slave and toil away at the wondrous Commodore 64 game known to humans as Coil Cop. That game was my crack. Literally. I would perfect my moves to the point where I ended up beating the game with an ultimate high score that I memorialized in a notebook that I still have. (I also busted about 5 joysticks cause I played with such fervor and intensity)

My brother also recently purchased Rock Band. Shit. I knew my lifelong ambition of wanting to play drums would one day come through. Iron Maiden Run to the Hills is my kryptonite on the beat pads though. (sidenote: I also broke the pedal to the drumkit for hitting the kick beat a wee bit too hard. Is there a pattern here? Maybe...)


But this is about the present, not the past. So, feel free to take any cred I had away from me, because I am about to pimp the ever-loving shit out of the Grand Theft Auto IV musical stylings and selections.


For one, any game that has in-play radio stations customized by genre/dj/etc...is A-OK in my book. Any game/station that uses Juliette Lewis as a DJ is pretty epically tops in my book too. As an aside, there are also many songs which do not appear on the in-game stations. For example: enter a strip club and groove with your favorite pole holes to the super synthed sounds of Goldfrapp's "Ooh La La".
