I get a lot of questioning regarding my music tastes and confusion as to what I actually like. So, the Sheena Beaston scale of music favoritism goes something like this:

I Like: means I have a general appreciation for the song, will more than likely be sick of it in 2-4 weeks, but will still rock it out on the dance floor if I hear it in a club (ex: anything Timbaland-related)

I Love: means I truly love the artist and the stuff they are putting out now regardless of popular relevance or not (ex: September)

Obsession: I’ll listen to the song/album 45 times in a row and will decry my absolute love for the artist/tracks no matter how much anyone tells me they suck (ex: we’re getting to that....see below)

So Million $ Mano, whom I featured earlier, came out with the Flashing Lights remix which puts the original to utter shame and I Love. but my new Obsession is He Say, She Say (which is comprised of Million $ Mano and Drea).

You can read about M$M below, but lets learn a little about Drea. Her story goes something like this:

• Girl goes to Chicago to become a Sociology teacher
• Girl instead meets Boy
• Girl and Boy now make the sassiest electro-hip-hop tracks as He Say, She Say

Honestly, it’s been a while since I’ve gotten really behind an artist/group/duo like this. I throw around the I Like and I Love terms a bit too loosely for songs that immediately catch my attention, when in reality, most end up on my Least Played Tracks list. This is not true of He Say, She Say.

Complete brilliance.
