I Must Be Crazy
When one happens upon an advance copy of a highly touted second album from a pair of lovable dudes, you just want to share the wealth.
Unfortunately, at the risk of any severe legal ramifications, I've backed into a corner and decided not to post the mp3's of the entire retail copy of Gnarls Barkley's The Odd Couple.
Now, I am in possession of the full album in digital format. So if any of you so desire it, please email me. Otherwise, head on over to Ali's Blog where you can download it until Friday...provided the pigs don't get to Johnny Ali first.
I wouldn't be surprised if Going On becomes a hit in the same vein as Gone Daddy Gone from their debut album. Overall, the album has a dark/dub/echo-y/Doors type vibe in terms of the instrumentation and arrangements. (Which is not 100% surprising, as the duo frequently covers The Doors penned tune Who Scared You during live performances.)
Track listing as follows:
1. Charity Case
2. Who's Gonna Save My Soul
3. Going On
4. Run
5. Would-Be Killer
6. Open Book
7. Whatever
8. Surprise
9. No Time Soon
10. She Knows
11. Blind Mary
12. Neighbors
13. A Little Better

I love love LOVE Run. It gets the blood pumping to all my vitals. But the video is so disappointing! It didn't get me seizing as promised and is pretty boring compared to their previous work. I mean c'mon, a Soul Train riff? Not as original as I expected.
Something to say?
