There's no time like the present to start pimping a band that you've been a diehard fan of for years. More people need to jump on this train and experience good old hard rock and roll.

Juliette and the Licks is an American rock band led by film siren Juliette Lewis. Some of their most popular songs include You're Speaking My Language and Hot Kiss.

As Lewis quotes in the band bio on their site, "The prototype for a female is that they're desirable, pretty to look at, predictable and safe. That's why my music is important to me, because it's the antithesis of that, it breaks the mold."

With lyrics like: "I know you think you know me better than that...I beat your dog, cause he hit on my cat..." how can you not be intrigued.

The group released Four On The Floor in the US in mid-2007. The album included the fan favorite Hot Kiss as well as Sticky Honey.

The only complaint I need to register is that appearances are not frequent enough in NYC. It's pretty necessary that I see them sooner than later.

One of my favorite Juliette and The Licks tracks is below. It's off their 2005 offering, You're Speaking My Language.
