It's been a long time coming for us to finally witness Tyburn Saints live in action. The Brooklyn surf rock quartet has been on our radar since the inception of the site, thanks in large part due to a previous working relationship with lead singer/guitarist, Johnny G. Yet that does not bias us at all. Had we never met, I'd still be singing their praises. Read on as to why.

It's with an extremely calming presence that not only Johhny commands the stage, but the entire dynamic of the band is felt throughout their performance. With a slight swagger and musicality that evokes memories of long summer days spent at the shore, Tyburn Saints proved to be a most accessible listening pleasure.

It's a wonder why these lads are as yet unsigned, as an album of this brand of soulful and heartfelt rock would be a welcome addition to both your playlists and any label's roster.

Tyburn Saints play at Death by Audio in NYC on June 24. Check 'em out, won't ya!
