I promise. After this, I might not get so overly enthusiastic about pwning the charts. For real. But FOR NOW.

If you go to the dictionary and look up "monopoly", you'll see a picture of Rich Uncle Pennybags, Bill Gates, and...(in the only picture you may ever see of me)

My monopoly is so out of control that you get this song, so you know what to sing when I move to Duckburg and dive into my pile of money. If anyone dares remix this and send it to me, you've permanently attached yourself to my heartstrings for life. No joke.

Who's number 1? Sheena Beaston is. Check it.

It's the little victories that make us smile and dance.

Kinda like also being #7, #40, and #47.

We promise we won't turn into a Mean Girl. The success doesn't go to our heads. It goes to our bootys.

Couple of brief notes for ya.

1. At some point last night, Wendy Ho's Bitch I Stole Yo Purse made it to the number 1 spot in the Hype Machine Popularity Contest. Thanks for the love! (I missed seeing it there, seeing as how, for once, I was able to pull myself away from the computer glow and have a night. And it was A NIGHT!)

2. The Fire and Reason have a new song streaming on their site. Do it Again is hot rock waiting for you to get on the dance floor.

3. Much like last week, I'm putting my best Ibiza foot forward and dancing in my seat to Belgian club music courtesy of Kate Ryan. Get moving with me!

...with your help. After yesterday's open call to witness and bear arms in support of Wendy Ho's Bitch I Stole Yo Purse, I've awoken this morning to find her nestled on Hype Machine's Popular chart at position 24. Ace!

Not only is she leapfrogging her way to the top, but we have My!Gay!Hudsband!'s edit of A Milli creeping up, and lo and behold, Grahm Zilla's Euro Remix of Santogold's L.E.S. Artistes has also made an appearance on the chart.

Is this shameless promotion for my measly efforts on this site? Sure. But then again, what's a girl to do!

Get Wendy Ho to the top by listening to Bitch I Stole Yo Purse here. And click that little heart to show how much you care. Otherwise, how would we know?

mp3: Nada Surf - Popular

I tend to not follow this too closely, but a reader informed me that one of today's posts/tracks is slowly creeping up the "Popular" list on Hype Machine.

Wendy Ho's Bitch I Stole Yo Purse is wavering at position 46, but let's see if we can't get this hot ho up to the primo pole position. All you need to do? Visit the link here and hit play. Or click that heart to show how much you love it.

(I guess it is/was also listed as a Hot Post on elbo.ws. So I suppose I've found my formula. Post comedic gangsta rap by a white ho originally from Kansas and traffic increases.)

If you happened across the main page of elbo.ws today, you might have noticed a certain blog listed as one of the Hot Blogs. It tickled my fancy to see that a certain tidbit of notoriety for this ol' site has been mentioned.

Albeit in a state of flu-like symptoms, I am grateful and it really made my day. (not only is this considered a hot blog, but apparently, a Hot Post as well.

To say thanks to everyone (and elbo.ws!) who have supported Mademoiselle Beaston since the early stages, all but 4 months ago, a track from me to you.

mp3: Panthers - Thank Me With Your Hands

If either of the two major aggregators you can find these delicious little posts at aren't enough to satisfy your hunger, you can now and always find me over at BOOGIE4.US.

As a shameless plug, I must also divert any and all attention to the advertising opportunities on this site. Please email the site maintainer extraordinaire here for any and all details.

In the meantime, rejoice and bask in the music.

In brief, you may now also find postings from this site on the fab Hype Machine.

Thanks for the support.
