Amongst a sea of anxious concert-goers, I patiently waited over an hour to get inside Joe's Pub for the Anjulie set. It was yet another unseasonably rainy and humid June night in NYC, but the gal from Ontario, Canada, kept the crowd cool with her laidback lounge styled voice and seemingly endless ease.
Powering through a set that included nearly all of her songs from her debut album, Boom, which hasn't technically seen an official release date as of yet. Highlights included Rain, The Heat and the title track of said album.
Check out Anjulie's performance of Boom (big ups to Nicky Digital for letting me swipe his video), and then grab her acoustic live cover of Flo Rida's Right Round, as well as an extra special remix of Boom, from me to you.
