Swedish. New-wave. Synth-pop. If I only had the choice of 3 words to throw together and form my most perfect band collaboration, well then, The Sounds have gone and done it. While they've been around since 1999, and yes, we've been casual fans, their latest album, Crossing the Rubicon, has cemented my everlasting obsession with them.

This, the band's third album, was released on June 2, however they have now released their first single, No One Sleeps When I'm Awake, as a free download for everyone to enjoy as much as I do. The single is quite possibly a perfectly constructed piece of material that will EASILY make my year-end "best of" lists. I guarantee it.

Sing it out with me...

"You know it hurts so bad,
just like I knew that it would.
But I'd do it again,
do it again if I could."

Check out their performance of the same song on Letterman last month, and then jump below for that free song that you are about to be obsessed with.
